When the media talks about Palestinians, most of the focus is on Hamas. Hamas this, Hamas that. Islamists. Radicals. Fundamentalists. Terrorists. The crazy people. The people who banned Christmas, and all that stuff.
They try to make Hamas look as bad as possible — and mainly talk about Hamas to make Palestinians look as bad as possible. They barely mention the West Bank, where Hamas are not in control, and whenever they mention Gaza, for whatever reason — even if it has nothing to do with Hamas — they always mention that it’s “Hamas-run”.
So I’ll do my own little bit here and post these pictures of Palestinian Greek Orthodox Christians attending mass today, their Christmas day, at the Saint Porfirios church in Hamas-run Gaza.
Yes, Palestinian Christians exist. There are hundreds of thousands of them.
Yes, Christians are celebrating Christmas in Gaza. No, they’re not wearing hijab nor do they have to. Yes, that is a church — among several — in Hamas-run Gaza.
Even though I don’t like Hamas and vehemently disagree with some of their actions, I want you to know that Palestinians aren’t crazy, like the media and Israel want you to believe, and I want you to know that Palestinian Christians exist. That might sound silly but many people don’t. [Photos by Getty]
THESE ARE MY PEOPLE!!!!!!!! I MISS MY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!! I MISS MY FELLOW GREEK ORTHODOXIANS!!!!
This is a huge lie. Palestinian Christians still have to wear hijab, or else Santa Claus doesn’t come to their houses.
